Restaurants here in San Francisco are more an experience than a location. Everything is tasteful, and beautiful, and flavorful... with a pricetag to match.

The places that do this best are also exclusive, and they revel in it.

After a quick convesation on the way home with Ash, we (I) came up with the ultimate in restaurant experiences. 'The 17th'. It is a restaurant open just once per month, with an expensive pricetag and a waiting list a year in advance.

Anyone want to try this out?

Today I start a new job. I just got back from San Antonio on Saturday late-night and I tried to rest up on Sunday from all the travelling and moving and unpacking, I hope it was enough. Driving today, not the most swell of choices, but a necessary evil until I understand the nuances of the public transportation from San Francisco to Sunnyvale.

I shot this video of the clouds pouring down from twin peaks over noe valley while I was at the new house last week. It could be used as a nice background as a flash video or something.

I just found my d20 and my d8 (the sparkly silver ones, still missing the onyx and glow-in-the-dark set)

Still missing: work shoes, black suit, and pillow.

Oh, another great thing about this area: There are 2 IKEAs within 20 minutes of my house. Also, there are like 100 bars. Cheap swedish furniture and unstoppable liquor.

Update: 100% unpacked now! Well, if you don't count all the permanent storage boxes .

So.... No pictures yet, no stories to tell, not even a lousy postcard. Want to know why? Because there is an impossible number of boxes in this house to unpack. But even better, a whole slew of amazing restaurants and bars and clubs just down the street to keep tempting me out of the house. Argh.

However, I did mow the backyard! It was overgrown, but I made short work of it with my mowing apparatus and weed-whacking machines.
